Been Crook
Monday I was crook, very exhausted and hard to think. I called in sick to work. Needed something to do that was easy so with Mary's help I created a table listing all the timbers and hardware needed for the walkway and stairs. I faxed it off to various suppliers. Mary decided I needed to do something physical so I might sleep better. I didn't feel like going to the falls because it can be a hard trek back up the hill so Mary drove us to the lookout and we did a short walk there that we had not done before. The mist was so thick we couldn't see from Platypus Lookout. We watched a couple of episodes of Scrubs after tea.
Monday evening I was still exhausted so sent my teamlead an email saying I did not think it wise to get up for 5:30 meeting. As it turned out I was still exhausted Tuesday and again called in sick. It was a strange exhaustion, I was not tired but had no energy, walking with minimal arm movement.
Mary went to work and I was emailing off a request for a quote on the timber and hardware when the neighbour turned up. She told me about the calf I was worried about and had phoned her on Saturday. The calf had been born with a miniature brain with its head mostly fluid. She put it down. After she left I decided to order the component to fix my spare inverter but I couldn't identify the part the repairer had told Mary about. I then decided to run the power lead through the polypipe conduit to the house. This was a good choice as I had worked out how to do it and I pulled up a chair and sat there feeding the power lead in one end while pulling the draw string out the other end. To get the draw string through 70m of polypipe was easily done using fishing line, half a chux and the vacuum cleaner to suck it through.
I am working today but my heart is not in it, it is just that I think I need a doctor's certificate to have a third day off and I cant be bothered (don't have the energy) to do it. The forecast is for rain and thunderstorms each afternoon this week so I cut some firewood using the new stand. I then backed the truck into the stand and have bent it. Hopefully I'll feel like fixing it at the week-end.
